Having lived in Benwick for several years I had become aware that getting information out to the villagers in any efficient way was surprisingly difficult. Local groups always faced the problem of how best to publicise their activities. They diligently put up posters whenever something was going on, but there was never any guarantee that people would see them, never mind read them. I decided that there was a need for an independent newsletter which could go out to the entire village, bringing the information right into their homes. Thus the Benwick Bugle made its first appearance in September 2006.

The Bugle’s Philosophy...
...is simply to provide a means of getting local information to the people of Benwick and to provide a forum for them to reach the entire village in one hit. We also hope that a regular reminder of all the wonderful groups, events and businesses located in our village will help to foster community spirit and maybe even encourage participation amongst people who may not have considered they had anything to offer.

Whilst the appearance of an advert in the magazine or on the website does not constitute a recommendation, we strive to find companies whose services are relevant to the people of Benwick.
